Reading the book Prep is a new experience for me. It is abourt Lee Fiora who attends Ault (Prestigious Private School). She is at Ault under a scholarship surrounded by a bunch of kids that are super rich. Througtout the book I find Lee to be total loner. She is very unsocialable. Lee at the ssame time wants to fit in and be like other Ault students. While I was surfing the internet I found this part of a poem that reminded me of Lee and how she acts. This poem is called
I AM MUCH TOO ALONE IN THIS WORLD
"I am much too alone in this world, yet not alone
enough
to truly consecrate the hour.
I am much too small in this world, yet not small
enough
to be to you just object and thing,
dark and smart.
I want my free will and want it accompanying
the path which leads to action"
This poem reminds me of Lee because she feels like she is alone but then again she isn' t because she is surrounded by other teens. I think that Lee in a way wants to be notice by her classmates but then she doesn't want to much attention. I think she is scare of critizism. She still doesn't know who she is.

I like the poem and its very contradicting but with what you said about the character it seems to fit. i think you are right about critisizm or maybe shes just too shy to make herself be noticed, she just wants someone to notice her first. It sounds like an interesting, but then again average teen story, I'd like to read it as one of my independant reading books once im done with mine...
Carolll<3 Many people read Prep, and I heard similar reactions to it. Many people said that they think that Lee is a very lonely person. I was planning to read Prep as my first independent reading book, but I got a lot of recommendations for the book My Sister's Keeper, so I decided to read that book first. So far, My Sister's Keeper is a great book, you should read it! Anyways, I think that the poem that you found is great, and I'm glad that you found something that related to the character in your book(: Also, I love how you wrote down the information on the bottom of your post! It's a great idea. I hope that you enjoy your book<3
